TOURNAMENT DATES:
We are pleased to inform you of a five day Atom Hockey Tournament in Peterborough on January 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 2009. Body checking will not be allowed in this tournament as per C.H.A. rules.
All teams will be guaranteed three (3) games.
All local area teams must be prepared to play their first game on Wednesday or Thursday evening. All remaining teams will play their first game on Friday. SCHEDULE ON FRIDAY TO COMMENCE AT 9:00 A.M.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: November 15, 2008 (payment confirmed)
ACCEPTED TEAMS will be notified no later than November 30, 2008.
***WITHDRAW FROM TOURNAMENT***: Any team that is accepted by the Tournament Committee who withdraws after November 30, 2008 will lose their entry fee.
TEAMS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF THEIR THREE GAME TIMES NO LATER THAN JANUARY 5, 2009.

ALL REGISTRATION WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE EVINRUDE CENTRE AND ALL TEAMS MUST REGISTER PRIOR TO THEIR FIRST GAME.
REGISTRATION: A total of nineteen (19) players per team may be signed, two of which are registered as goaltenders. PLEASE COMPLETE PLAYERS' FORM, INCLUDING SIGNATURES AND RETURN COMPLETED FORM WITH ENTRY FORM. PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY MUST BE PROVIDED ON ARRIVAL AT TOURNAMENT. PHOTOCOPIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
ONLY ORIGINAL PLAYERS' CERTIFICATES RECOGNIZED AND SANCTIONED BY THE O.M.H.A. WILL BE ACCEPTED.
If teams do not have players' certificates for registration at the time of the tournament, THEY MAY NOT BE PERMITTED TO PLAY. The Coach and Trainer MUST HAVE APPROVED CERTIFICATES.
Affiliated players (A/P) must be registered with the team and listed on an O.M.H.A. Approved A/P list. These players names should be submitted with the Team List on the Entry Form and marked A/P and appropriate carding submitted. A player may only play for one team during the tournament.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
A Peterborough Committee member will be delegated to act as host for each visiting team, upon request.
2009 will feature NO Tournament Door Admission
TOURNAMENT RULES:
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all entries, to make decisions regarding interpretations of Tournament Rules and Regulations, to make decisions regarding objections or protests involving any conduct of the Tournament, and as such, all decisions will be final.
Rules similar to those used in Olympic Hockey will be used to determine standings in the event of a tie in round robin play. Tournament operated under Tournament/OMHA/CHA Sanctions and Regulations.
ALL GAMES BE BE STOP TIME CONSISTING OF 2- TEN MINUTE AND 1-FIFTEEN MINUTE PERIODS.
All players must wear approved throat protectors as per CHA Rules
OHF Policy 12: At the Novice and Atom levels both genders may dress in the same dressing room at the same time with the presence of two adults/staff. From the PeeWee level and up players of mixed gender may not dress in the same room at the same time, and it is the responsibility of the Coaches that all players are included in the Pre and Post Games activities.

TOURNAMENT CLASSIFICATION: In order for our Tournament to be competitive, we are asking that each team read the Classification System below. Please feel free to add your comments to help the Tournament Committee choose the appropriate division for your team. If your team is all second year players, please indicate major. If your team is all first year players, please indicate minor. If your team is a combination of first and second year players, please indicate mixed.
