Are you interested in joining a not-for-profit organization that:

Organizes and coordinates the largest single age division hockey tournament in Canada that generates a financial impact of $1.3 million dollars annually in the Peterborough and surrounding area,
Has a proud tradition and reputation which has helped to sustain Peterborough as an important hockey venue,
Recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary,
Has contributed approx. $400,000.00 to community causes over the last 10 years,
Has a volunteer base of over 400 dedicated individuals who return each year to offer their assistance in running the tournament, and
Relies on the support of hundreds of sponsors to help offset the costs of running a tournament of this size?

If so, the Executive Committee of the Peterborough Liftlock Atom Hockey is currently receiving applications from prospective new members and would be most interested in hearing from you.

Requirements for an Executive Committee Member include:

Experience in Volunteering for a Not-For–Profit Organization,
Community-Minded and Community Spirited
A Genuine Interest in Fostering and Encouraging a Philosophy of Youth Participation in Sports and Sportsmanship
Ability to Take On Ownership and Responsibility for the Achievement of

Organizational Goals and Objectives

Demonstrated Project Management and Delegation Skills
Ability to Work as a Team Member or Individually in the Completion of Assigned Tasks and Responsibilities
Demonstrated Ability in Managing Large Numbers of Volunteers
Good Decision Making and Problem – Solving Skills
Good Business Management, Marketing and Promotional Skills
Good Communications and Presentation Skills
Willingness to Commit the Necessary Time and Energy to Fully Participate in the Achievement of Executive Committee Duties and Responsibilities (The Committee meets from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the first Monday of the month from September to April with extra meetings scheduled in December and January just prior to the tournament).
